Today, we are sharing a major milestone: a successful installation of macOS Tahoe 26.4 (Build 25E246) on the Asus ROG Strix B660-G Gaming Wifi motherboard, paired with the Intel Core i5 13400F CPU and the MSI RX 6700 XT graphics card, running smoothly on the OpenCore r1.0.8 bootloader.

- Storage: 1x NVME XPG S70 1TB + 1x NVME PNY 1TB
- Ethernet: Intel i225-V3 2.5GB Ethernet
- Wifi/Bluetooth: Broadcom BCM4360 PCIe Card (Intel AX201 disabled via SSDT)
- Audio Codec: Realtek ALC1220
- Display Configuration: Triple Monitor Setup (Smart TB Pro 36 inch 4K + Samsung C24F390 23.5 inch FHD + Lenovo R27q-30 27 inch QHD)
- Bootloader & Boot Mode: OpenCore r1.0.8 (UEFI)
What is Working?
Nearly every hardware feature works perfectly, making this system ideal for daily production, video editing, and development:
- Full QE/CI Graphics Acceleration on the MSI RX 6700 XT.
- Native CPU Power Management for the Intel Core i5 13400F.
- System sleep, wake, restart, and shutdown function flawlessly.
- Rear and Front audio jacks powered by the Realtek ALC1220 codec.
- Intel i225-V3 2.5GB Ethernet at full speed.
- Broadcom BCM4360 Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Apple AirDrop.
- Triple display output via HDMI and DisplayPort (including HDMI audio).
- All USB ports properly mapped on the Intel Chipset.
What is Not Working?
- Intel Wifi 6 AX201 & Bluetooth (intentionally disabled via SSDT to allow the Broadcom BCM4360 card to run natively without conflicts).

Setting up a modern Raptor Lake CPU on a B660 chipset requires precise SSDT configurations (such as SSDT-PLUG-ALT) to map the hybrid performance and efficient cores properly. Furthermore, while the RX 6700 XT is historically unsupported natively in macOS, the revolutionary NootRX kext enables full graphics acceleration, allowing smooth rendering across all three high-resolution monitors.
